Welcome to my new website for A.C.E. Music Fans.

 

After Ofsted findings in November 2013 which found that all primary schools visited were shying away from teaching pupils about fundamental aspects of music, I came up with the idea of Music Fans covering key aspects of music i.e. Notation, Note Length, Rests and Key Signature. The fans allow children to find out, "hands on" about these key elements to music, whilst having fun learning them. The fans are an ideal tool for music teachers, whether specialist or non-specialist, to use as a 15 to 20 minute warm up to their music lesson. Having used the fans myself over the past few years, I have found that more children are understanding and enjoying their music-making with a greater understanding of the fundamentals of music. I am positive that this will help in the future, with more children continuing on to take music as an option, because of better knowledge and understanding.
